- Within 3 days of filling out form you will receive an email with a link to upload required documents.Submit all required documents, once reviewed and completed program will send you a link to register for available classes.
- Important Information: This grant will be awarded on a first come first serve basis. To be considered for an award you MUST submit and wait for approval of ALL required pre-requisite forms prior to being awarded a grant funded spot in the program.
Registration Requirements:
- US Issued High School Diploma or GED; If you do not have a US issued diploma/ GED please email us at cna@bristolcc.edu and we will schedule an eligibility exam for you.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid non-expired government issued ID; proof of Massachusetts residency
Course Description:
100 Hour Nursing Assistant Training Program
Launch your healthcare career with our comprehensive NAT training program, designed to prepare you for success in the healthcare workforce.

Alcohol & Drug Counselor Exam Prep Bootcamp

Course Description:
This 16-hour exam prep is designed to help individuals prepare for the CADC/LADC exams.
Participants will gain,
- Comprehensive understanding of the key areas in substance use disorder counseling, including screening, assessment, treatment planning, counseling techniques and professional ethics.
- Confidence and reinforce their knowledge of the material and the twelve core functions.
- The tools and knowledge necessary to approach the certification exam with confidence.
Who should attend?
- Those preparing to take the CADC or LADC exams within two months of taking this exam prep bootcamp.
- Those who have met the education requirements to sit for the CADC Certification or LADC Licensure. If you have not met those requirements, check out the Substance Abuse Counseling Certificate Program at Bristol Community College.
Upon Completion of the CADC/LADC Exam Prep Bootcamp, participants will be able to:
- Review the twelve core functions and competencies required to pass the CADC and LADC exams.
- Conduct thorough clinical evaluations and assessments, utilize diagnostic tools to identify substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Review ethical standards and legal guidelines, including confidentiality laws, client rights, and professional boundaries, as outlined in twelve core functions.
- Review Professional Documentation Practices
- Recognize exam-taking strategies and gain confidence to approach the CADC or LADC exams, using practice questions, case studies, and review materials tailored to the exam content.
- Reinforce key exam concepts to strengthen their understanding of critical topics related to addiction counseling through comprehensive review and application of knowledge in realistic clinical scenarios.
In addition to the exam prep bootcamp, Bristol will provide each student with the 1:1 exam application support and guidance throughout the exam registration process.

Students are responsible for the cost of the exam preparation book.

About the Instructor:
Tim Hernandez
Adjunct Faculty | MSW - Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LADC I)
Tim is a dedicated bilingual (English/Spanish) mental health professional and educator with over 18 years of experience providing therapy and counseling services. He holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC I) , specializing in mental health and substance abuse counseling.
For the past eight years, Tim has served as an adjunct faculty for Bristol Community College and recently serving as the program coordinator for the substance abuse certificate (SAC) program, bringing real-world clinical insight into the classroom. With a strong foundation in clinical practice and a commitment to education, Tim continues to bridge the gap between academic theory and therapeutic application, fostering learning environments where students gain practical skills and deep insight into the complexities of addiction and behavioral health.
