Course Description:
This 80-hour course of Blended training gives you the opportunity to start your training to be become a CNA with a flexible course option. Up to 50% of the program coursework is provided through a digital immersive, story-based curriculum. 

This digital curriculum teaches future nursing assistants the skills needed to succeed in their job, while engaging students.  In conjunction with online theory, students will meet in person with highly qualified instructors in our state approved lab to learn the skills portion of their Nursing Assistant Training, as well as clinical hours in a skilled nursing facility. 

This course is recommended for those students that may be unable to attend full in- person classes or for those who prefer online learning. 

Online Theory 40 hours, In person Lab/Skills 19 hours and 21 hours clinical. With successful course completion, you will receive a Nurse Assistant Training certificate and will be eligible to take the State NAT Competency Exam. 

The cost of uniforms and State testing fees are not included. Pre-requisite forms must be completed prior to the start of class.  Registration ends two weeks prior to the class.

Course Description:
Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aide are in high demand.  This 114 Hour in person course gives you the opportunity to prepare yourself for employment opportunities in Nursing homes, home care and hospitals. This course teaches nursing assistant skills through in person classroom lecture, skills practice in our fully equipped state approved CNA Lab, and 24 hour clinical placement in a long-term care facility. With successful course completion you will be eligible to take the State NAT Competency Exam to become a CNA, you will receive a Nurse Assistant Training Certificate, Home Health Aide Certificate, Dementia Training Certificate and BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR Certification. The cost of uniforms, books and State testing fees are not included. Pre-requisite forms must be completed prior to the start of class.

  • Students will receive a link to securely upload your medical forms. Be prepared to upload the following documents:  
    • Copy of high school diploma/transript or GED/HiSet
      • (If do not have high school diploma or GED please contact for placement test.   
    • Up to date physical form (within 1 year) 
    • Immunization record
    • Negative Tuberculosis Test
    • Proof of Flu vaccine
    • Covid-19 Vaccination card 
  • Students will receive directions on how to submit both the C.O.R.I and S.O.R.I. applications upon registering for class. All students must submit an online C.O.R.I. and S.O.R.I application with a photocopy of your driver’s license.  A positive C.O.R.I. may prevent students from completing the clinical requirement of the program.

Available Funding

While any eligible business may receive an Express Grant, only businesses with under 100 employees are eligible to have the full cost of training covered, up to $3,000 / person / course. For applications recieved on, or after, July 1st, 2021:

  • For grant recipients with more than 100 MA employees, upon completion of an approved course, you may receive reimbursement of as much as half the total cost of training, up to $3K/person/course.
  • For grant recipients with 100 or fewer MA employees, upon completion of an approved course, you may receive full reimbursement of the cost of training, up to $3K/person/course.

Supervising the 21st Century Workforce

A supervisor’s success hinges on how effectively they can communicate and manage their team’s performance. People at all levels of management face a number of challenges and responsibilities, especially under rapid workplace change and the role of the supervisor continuing to evolve. High performing teams don’t just happen - they are made up of individuals who bring a broad spectrum of skills, talents and experiences to the workplace and are often developed one member at a time.  To keep a team fully engaged, a supervisor must be able to manage of change and communicate effectively.  Changes that are negatively perceived by team members can disrupt morale and the flow of work.
