- Important Information: This grant will be awarded on a first come first serve basis. To be considered for an award you MUST submit and wait for approval of ALL required pre-requisite forms prior to being awarded a grant funded spot in the program.

- Copy of high school diploma/transcript or GED/HiSet
- Up to date physical form (within a year)
- Immunization record
- Negative Tuberculosis Test
- Proof of Flu vaccine (September to April)
- Proof of COVID vaccine (must have completed primary series or recent bivalent booster)
- Proof of Massachusetts Residency (Legally issued Massachusetts ID, Utility bill, Credit Card Statement, Lease Agreement or Mortgage statement or Health Insurance Information)
Grant Information
The Baker-Polito Administration Awarded $15 Million in Workforce Training Grants to the Commonwealth’s 15 Community Colleges in support of the creation and expansion of training programs in high-demand industries. This allowed the Massachusetts Association of Community Colleges and Bristol Community College to partner and offer you the opportunity to take this free (with grant approval) 100-hours of Blended training to be become a CNA with flexible course options.

Course Information:
This digital curriculum teaches future nursing assistants the skills needed to succeed in their job, while engaging students. Up to 50% of the program coursework is provided through a digital immersive, story-based curriculum. In conjunction with online theory, students will meet in person with highly qualified instructors in our state approved lab to learn the skills portion of their Nursing Assistant Training, as well as clinical hours in a skilled nursing facility. Online Theory 48 hours, In person Lab/Skills 26 hours and 26 hours clinical.
With successful course completion, you will receive a Nurse Assistant Training certificate and CPR Certification. Also included, is the MA State NAT Competency Exam in the comfort of the same state approved lab used to teach in-person skills classes. This course also meets the Rhode Island reciprocity / endorsement requirements.
All in person classes take place at the Fall River Campus; 777 Elsbree St.

C.O.R.I. and S.O.R.I (required)
Students will receive directions on how to submit both the C.O.R.I and S.O.R.I. applications upon registering for class. All students must submit an online C.O.R.I. and S.O.R.I application with a photocopy of your driver’s license. A positive C.O.R.I. may prevent students from completing the clinical requirement of the program.
